Mechanical Assembly System Integration
Our vertically integrated cable/harness and PCB assembly capabilities enhance schedule flexibility and simplify the overall sourcing equation. From start to finish, SAI is your one-stop shop for manufacturing. Simply place a purchase order with us and let SAI do the rest. SAI will contact and negotiate pricing on your behalf for all of your custom manufacturing needs. Cable assemblies and printed circuit board assemblies are built in our Carlsbad facility for an easy transfer to finished device box builds.
PCB Assembly
Every board is inspected by our AOI machine to ensure the highest amount of quality possible. Spectrum Assembly conforms to requirements for handing Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) sensitive devices. We have a controlled ESD floor and ESD hand and foot devices for our employees. SAI guarantees on time delivery when we furnish the material. All material is built to IPC-A 610 and IPC-A 620 workmanship standard under AS9100, ISO 9001 or ISO 13485
Support Services
Since most of our projects involve mission critical applications, we’ve migrated to paperless documentation, shop floor control and quality management systems. This supports stringent configuration management, rapid changeovers and crisp communication between project team members.
Cable & Wire Harness assembly
SAI prides itself on the ability to do things right, the first time. We are proud to report 99% first pass yields on cables. SAI produces cables for Medical, Industrial, and Aerospace/Defense customers. Spectrum Assembly is focused on quality from receiving material to delivery. We support customers on a Kanban basis of thousands per month and configure to order (CFO) cables that change daily.

Founded in 1993, Spectrum Assembly is headquartered in a 60,000 sq. ft. facility in Carlsbad, CA. which is 43 miles north of San Diego and only 98 miles south of Los Angeles.
