SAI performs surface-mount and through-hole PCB assembly in Carlsbad for recurring OEM production. SMD components are traced by manufacturer lot or date code per program, and PCBA serial-number traceability can reach reference-designator level. Acrylic and urethane conformal coating are performed in-house.
SAI builds custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses to your drawings and specifications. For cable and harness programs, SAI can develop the tester and test software in-house. Assemblies are built under the same ISO 13485:2016 and AS9100D / ISO 9001:2015 quality system as our PCB assemblies.
SAI combines PCB assembly, cable and harness assembly, enclosure and mechanical assembly, programming, and testing in one program, performed directly by SAI. Turnkey material is our preferred model; hybrid material arrangements are supported.
SAI resolves missing or conflicting manufacturing information with you before production, assigns your tooling and fixtures an SAI asset number, and can run a pilot build before full production. Records such as packing slips, certificates of conformance, and Device History Records are provided when your program requires them.
